Key points of the recipe

Pairing with wine

For sukiyaki, a Japanese dish of beef, vegetables and tofu, the wine that best accompanies it is a medium-bodied red wine with good acidity. A good example of this type of wine is a Pinot Noir from the Burgundy region in France or from California. These wines have enough body and structure to complement the umami flavors of the beef and soy sauce, while their acidity helps balance the richness of the dish. In addition, the fruity and earthy notes of these wines harmonize well with the earthy flavors of shiitake mushrooms and vegetables.

Beer pairing

This recipe itself does not pair directly with beers. However, the pairing will depend on the specific dish in which this recipe and its main ingredients are used. It is important to consider the context and the predominant flavors of the dish before suggesting a suitable combination with beer.
